Nowadays SCEI has 6 professor-rank senior engineers, 50 senior engineers, 77 engineers and 42 assistant engineers, including 4 Grade-A registered architects, 7 Grade-A registered structural engineers. In addition, 51 staff members attended and passed the project manager training courses sponsored by the Ministry of Construction and acquired the Project Manager Qualification.

SCEI has possessed and mastered the advanced chemical process simulation software ASPEN, three-dimensional coordination plant design software PDS, fluid-mechanics calculation software Fluent, pipe-stress calculation software CAESAR-II, autocontrol-specialty software Intools and project management software P3, etc.

SCEI has already formed 5 modular information integrated systems including the "marketing decision", "project management", "engineering coordination design", "file and design-product management", and "comprehensive management and office automation" modules.

SCEI has already compiled the Working Manuals composed of 36 volumes, approx. 5 million words.
